Samir Bensaker is a partner in the "Banking and Finance" team in Gide's London office.

Samir is a lawyer specialising in structured finance and securitisation. His expertise covers a wide variety of asset classes (SME loans, syndicated loans, consumer loans, lease receivables, non-performing loans, trade receivables). He is also involved in the sale of loan portfolios and risk transfer (notably via financial guarantees). Samir is regularly involved in multi-jurisdictional transactions, particularly between France and other countries. His ability to navigate in diverse cultural and legal environments makes him a valuable asset for complex international transactions. At the same time, Samir has developed significant expertise in impact financing, both in France and in emerging markets. He has been involved in a number of innovative projects, helping clients to structure or invest in impact bonds or financing programmes focused on financial inclusion and sustainability. Samir's main clients include financial institutions (commercial banks, development banks) as well as asset managers and fintechs.

Samir holds a Master 2 in Business Law from the University of Paris II - Panthéon-Assas. He was seconded to Gide's New York office in 2015, and practised in Paris between 2010 and 2013. He qualified as Avocat to the Paris Bar and as Solicitor in England and Wales.
