Susanne Matern leads the ABS and RMBS sectors within Fitch's European Structured Finance Ratings Group, with teams in London, Frankfurt, Madrid, Milan and Paris. Susanne also oversees Structured Finance in APAC and retains responsibility for EMEA cross-sector topics and related inquiries. She is responsible for maintaining rigorous credit standards across her teams while fostering analytical excellence and delivering actionable market insight to investors and issuers. Susanne regularly engages with market participants and speaks at industry conferences.

Previously, Susanne led Fitch's EMEA Structured Finance team, covering ABS, ABCP, RMBS, CMBS and SC.

Earlier in her career, Susanne managed the Structured Finance Ratings Group in continental Europe and led Covered Bonds in German-speaking markets.
