NEW: Future Leaders Workshop


 

Recognising & Developing Talent

In partnership with AFME for the recent Global ABS 2024 event, the workshop day was geared towards those in the fixed income markets looking to advance in their careers and network with like-minded, and like-positioned peers, as a mix of those self-identifying as looking to take the next step in their career, and those that have been identified by their seniors as the ‘next generation’ of leaders in the capital markets. 

The initiative and workshop looked to provide Future Leader participants with critical insights from industry legends through retrospectives on their careers, as well as equip them with the skills and knowledge of how to build successful and sustainable careers through soft skill development across; leadership and management, mentor/mentee-ship, personal branding, work/life balance and more. 

Workshop Agenda Covered 

Thursday 6th June

08:00 - 09:15 | Hangover Breakfast

09:15 - 10:15 |  Exploring the opportunities and challenges of forging a career in structured finance

10 mins: A recruiter’s insight into the structured finance job market

20 mins: Future Leader anonymous polling insights- find out what your peers really think about working in structured finance

30 mins: Interactive small group discussions on work/life balance, workplace loyalty, the value of mentors, leadership

  • 45-minute panel discussion, followed 15 minutes of open Q&A with the speakers, focused on what clients look from their transaction partners and what this means for the rising junior.
